スクワイヤから、ブランドの創設40周年を記念した2022年限定のコレクション“Squier 40th Anniversary Vintage Edition”が登場した。国内での販売は2022年7月30日（土）より、フェンダー公式オンライン・ショップ及び全国の正規取扱店にて開始されている。
本コレクションはレトロ志向のスクワイヤ愛好家のために作られたクラシカルな仕様のギターとベースで構成されており、ギターのラインナップはテレキャスター、ストラトキャスター、ジャズマスターの3モデル。カラー・バリエーションは、テレキャスターとストラトキャスターが各3色で、ジャズマスターが2色となっている。

いずれのモデルも、エイジド加工が施されたクロム・ハードウェア、アノダイズドのアルミニウム・ピックガード、ビンテージ・カラーのメイプル・ネック、サテン仕上げのボディ、40周年を記念する刻印付きのネック・プレートを持ち、1982年から続くスクワイヤのレガシーを称えたものとなっている。また、どんなプレイヤーでも楽に演奏できるスリムで快適なCシェイプ・ネックを始め、プレイヤー・フレンドリーな仕様が凝縮されているのも本コレクションの特徴だ。
希望小売価格はベースも含めて全モデルが94,600円（税込）。初心者にも、またスクワイヤで育った世代の新たな1本としても購入しやすいものとなっている。
